OUR HISTORY

Southern New Mexico Pride works to support and uplift the LGBTQIA+ community in Las Cruces and across Southern New Mexico by hosting inclusive events, community gatherings, and Pride celebrations throughout the year.

Through events like Pride on the Plaza, community outreach programs, and educational initiatives, Southern New Mexico Pride also serves as a local resource for LGBTQ+ support, information, and connection. Our work is made possible by the dedication and leadership of our volunteer Board of Directors, who help strengthen and grow the LGBTQIA+ community in Southern New Mexico every year.

OUR MISSION

We strive to promote tolerance between the LGBTQIA+ community and the community at large, and to be a resource for those seeking greater information and fellowship in our community.

Southern New Mexico Pride dates back to 1990 and has evolved to its current status as a full-year, volunteer-run organization, working in conjunction with local community groups and vendors, to provide advocacy and resources for the LGBTQ community and its allies, producing several events throughout the year.
