Southern New Mexico Pride dates back to 1990 and has evolved to its current status as a full-year, volunteer-run organization, working in conjunction with local community groups and vendors, to provide advocacy and resources for the LGBTQ community and its allies, producing several events throughout the year.

We strive to promote tolerance between the LGBTQIA+ community and the community at large, and to be a resource for those seeking greater information and fellowship in our community.

Pride on the Plaza Sponsorship and Donation

Every year, we bring together community organizations, religious groups, political representatives, artisans, craftspeople, business owners, and leaders to celebrate the growing community of LGBTQ people and our straight allies. Not only does our day-long event recognize and celebrate the advances of the LBGTQ community in local and national politics, but we also encourage continued advocacy and activism to all who are in attendance.
